Show #2 of 3 on this wacky trip: Come for the cardboard, stay for the conversation in Pasadena 🤩 🌴

The second of three major shows I’ll be highlighting on this trip is the Front Row Card Show, happening November 22–23 (10 AM – 5 PM daily) at the Pasadena Convention Center, with Trade Night Saturday at 5 PM!

This stop is extra meaningful — I’ll be rolling straight in from Santa Monica Pier, having just completed Route 66 end to end. From the Midwest highways to the Pacific coast, and now straight into one of SoCal’s premier shows — it doesn’t get much better than that 🚙 💨

I’ll have fresh inventory picked up along the road, and I’ll be buying, selling, and trading all weekend — and buying strong 💰.

With Southern Cal roots ✌ it’s surreal to finally set up at a show in California for the first time. Can’t wait to meet new faces, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate this milestone stop on the journey.

So I’m relatively new to Mantel but want to start diving into this community to intentionally share my love, experiences, and knowledge in this hobby more.

A new chapter begins.

Over the few years, this hobby has given me more than I ever imagined — lifelong friends, unforgettable moments, and a community that’s as passionate as it is generous. But now, it’s time to take that connection to the next level.

Starting this month, I’ll be hitting the road full-time — traveling coast to coast to meet collectors, visit shops, and authentically connect with the heartbeat of the hobby in person. Every story. Every pull. Every conversation.

Along the way, I’ll also be joining the growing community over on OnMantel, a platform built for collectors who value community over competition — and I couldn’t think of a better time to dive in.

Just sharing the ticket stubb from my first baseball game, whilst on my travels from the UK in the States in the 90's. Check the price! Can you still go to a game for that these days? I got a Marlins Bag and a giant pretzel. Of course I ate the pretzel. The bag I still have.

I am a Braves fan. Purely because I wanted a baseball cap with an 'A' on it, when I arrived. As my name is Alan. That was the first cap I got after landing, so picked them.

I have a random selection of teams, purely based on my travels. NHL - Rangers. NBA - Bulls, MLB - Braves, NFL - Dolphins. I travelled to all the states mentioned. Didn't pick anywhere I didn't visit. Had a great time.
