I love that there is a higher exposure of athletes participating in #thehobby but even cooler whenever you are blessed to interact. I’ve been fortunate to interact with a ton of athletes through the years and the adage ‘never meet your heroes’ isn’t totally wrong. Scott is strong physically but an even stronger engaged father to his 2 sons. He’s genuine, funny, humble, and his competitive nature pours into everything he does outside of the octagon (even 6U baseball 😂).
This is my only UFC card in my PC 🥊 What makes this card special to me is that not only does ‘Hot Sauce’ live right down the street from me currently in Knoxville,,,but I had the distinct privilege of getting to be his son’s little league baseball head coach 🥹
I’m a snob at times for scarcity and exclusivity (OnMantel I feel like I’m in good company perhaps) and aside from his super and some other SPs…i bought this Octofractor SP /16 raw, graded myself, and came back a POP 1 PSA 10 🙌 #tko
My favorite banter back and forth we would have occasionally was him knowing I didn’t actually watch UFC - so I’d take friendly jabs, and he’d give it right back. ‘No, I don’t own an Affliction shirt!’ ‘Scott, you know I don’t watch gay porn!’ 😂 all in harmless jest. He always took my comments and would volley ‘Dare you to say that outside the diamond’
I don’t care what I spent on the card / grading….like anything in my PC - this tells a story, it’s incredibly special to me / my journey, and will be passed down to my kids.
