Topps UFC Knockout Brand History

Post image 1

Being a UFC fan is different. Of course, as sports fans, we can all find commonalities and enjoy making small talk with the pro football head during the season or trading stats with a like-minded baseball fan as the October playoffs roll around. But when you connect with an MMA fan, a true blue follower of the ultimate combat sport who knows the Octagon inside and out ā€“ itā€™s a special occasion. Eyes get wide, broad gestures are made, and thereā€™s no shortage of shadowboxing, no matter the time and place. And as a fan, there is nothing in the world likeĀ following a fighter on the come-upĀ and watching them land the perfect strike to knock out their opponent and have gold wrapped around their waist.

Fighters to Watch at UFC 307 (And Their Cards to Collect)

Post image 1

UFC 307 is the culmination of multiple must-witness combat storylines. After nearly two years,Ā the UFCĀ gets its second title fight in almost a decade without Amanda Nunes under the bright lights. As the division moves on, Julianna Pena and Racquel Pennington will attempt to cement their legacies as some of the best ever to do it in the bantamweight division.

Down the card are two elder statesmen in the UFC ā€“Ā Jose AldoĀ and Stephen Thompson. Jose Aldo is pushing 40 years old and is still going strong after a brief retirement, and Thompson is over the hill and has lost three out of his last four fights. Do these greats still have what it takes to climb the mountain, or is this the end of their epic journies inside the Octagon?

And in the main event,Ā Alex PereiraĀ and Khalil Rountree. No one has captured imaginations like Pereira since perhapsĀ Conor McGregor. The silent and stoic striker takes on the heavy-handed Rountree in yet another quick turnaround fight after becoming the first man in history to capture both the middleweight and light heavyweight titles. Heā€™s made nearly everyone who has dared stand before him look downright foolish to attempt striking with him ā€“ will he neutralize Rountreeā€™s attempt at glory, or will we see one of the greatest upsets of all time?

Amidst the drama of UFC 307, there is one constant:Ā Topps UFCĀ will have cards that will memorialize the moment, and these are just a few of the cards you can collect, with selections fromĀ Topps Midnight UFC, ToppsĀ Chrome UFC 2024, and a cheeky little preview from Topps Knockout 2024.

Sean O'Malley Cards to Collect

Sean Oā€™MalleyĀ let the world know they were seeing the ascent of a brand-new star when he burst onto the global fight scene at the then-nascent Dana Whiteā€™s Contender Series in 2017 and declared it ā€œThe Suga Sean Show. Since his emergence, the 29-year-old has proved that heā€™s not only one of the most flashy and outlandish fighters on the UFC roster, but after capturing the bantamweight belt, defending it, and outrightĀ dominating former championsĀ ā€“ heā€™s one of the best inside the Octagon.
