What do we mean by transparent breaking?
The breaker discloses the box acquisition cost of the box/case. Then each box price is equally divided into team slots. A simple fee is applied to account for the breakers time, sorting, sleeving, packaging, coordination, admin, etc. Breaking style is a Random Team Draw instead of Pick Your Team.
Example: MSRP of 2024 Topps Update is $90. Divided that box cost into 30 team slots making each slot $3. Add a $1 fee to every slot to account for admin work of the breaker. The result is a $4 team slot with a random team draw.
Some of this isn't new to the breaking world, just more transparent and equitable. There's no way for breakers to nefariously run up prices and top teams aren't selling for crazy amounts. It also eliminates trying to sell low value teams which delays breaks.
