I was over the moon when the Mets traded for and extended Francisco Lindor in between the 2020 & 2021 baseball seasons.

He’s been everything advertised and more- a leader, a dynamic presence in the order, a marketable fan-favorite and a premium defender.

And I have no doubt when Cooperstown comes calling in about 10 years, his Hall of Fame plaque will have a Mets logo on it.

To my knowledge, the 2024 has yet to surface publicly.

Regardless, my streak has ended effective 2025 as that card went up on eBay and was gobbled up within minutes of its listing for $900.

My favorite of these three is also my least favorite. Let me explain. The 2021 will never leave my collection. It’s his first One-of-One Topps Mets Card, I look at it as his One-of-One Mets Rookie Card. Yet it’s the least visibly appealing of the 3. The photo is quite generic and not nearly as exciting as the other two. And in 2021 Topps made their 1/1 Platinum with a foil finish, different than each of the other years, and that also does not look nearly as nice.

Very happy to have these cards in my PC, all 3 arguably fall in my top 25 PC Cards, and happy to share them with my friends here on the Mantel Community.

My wife and I ate looking forward to a weekend including Lorcana gaming with our new Winter Spell cards that just released. Heading to the local shop to play in an hour or so.

Hi Hobby Friends! It’s a Topps Now Day!

Got two 5 packs in this week- Bo Bichette’s first Mets card and Carlos Beltran’s HoF Induction Card- scored a Gold Parallel /50 in my Beltran order 💪

Gold is one of my favorite parallel types (along with Black) Because Gold was the first!

Very happy to add this card of the newest Hall of Famer to my PC!

Arguably my number 1 pitcher I PC is Johan Santana, (1a is Doc Gooden).

Picked up this beautiful team color blue parallel Five Star Autographed Jumbo Prime patch card (and what a very cool patch it is, the T from Mets on the front of the uniform).

He was a pleasure to watch and gave me and my son a game watching moment together I will never forget when he threw the Mets first ever no-hitter back in 2009.

Growing up as a child of the 80’s in Flatbush, it was only natural that I became a Mets fan.

But my favorite baseball player of all-time didn’t join my team until 1999. And when he did, at age 40, he had what would be considered a career year for most players!

It was only one year, but having my favorite player on my favorite team, a playoff team, was amazing.
