I figured my first post should be about my sports card story. Sorry about the lower quality image but it's more of an illustration this time around.
I haven't collected cards in over 20+ years. What you see are the remnants, the bones, ashes if you will, lol of what was my collection. Its sad to see alot of those chrome basketball hulked. Honestly I'm surprised I have any of these left. Over those years I had gone through alot and had sold some, had some stolen and given away as well. The majority of my collection was baseball and as you see there's only a few of those left.
Well now things are different and I have a renewed love for the hobby. I've been collecting again now for about a month and a half and it's just like old times minus some of the pricing on things.
I have that feeling again like when I was a kid back in 89 and my grandma bought me a pack of upperdeck and I pulled a Griffey Jr, it was game over. I'd walk around with a beckett bragging ,I even remember at that time it was at $6. He became my favorite player that wasn't named strawberry or howard johnson and my love for the hobby was off to the races...
I'm glad to be here to share my journey and I'd like to share my collection as it grows, as well as some other talents I haven't done in awhile...
Have a great Sunday Mantel,
GH
