Joe DiMaggio was nicknamed “The Yankee Clipper”. Kids today don’t realize what a monster player and celebrity DiMaggio was. I mean, he dated Marilyn Monroe for gosh sakes! He still holds one of the most coveted records in baseball, a 46 game hitting streak. For many years, he didn’t sign many cards, so his autograph has always been a bit of a premium. Late in his lifespan, he started signing more and has some fairly nice upper deck and pinnacle autographed cards. The single signed baseball, signed on the suite spot, is a great example of his autograph.
