My vintage card of the week: The 1950 Bowman Bob Feller. One primary focus of my collection is dominant pitchers. When I was looking for a Bob Feller card to add to my collection a few years ago, this one just immediately jumped out at me. I absolutely love the image of Feller warming up in front of the dugout with fans looking on from the stands. This was also my first vintage Bowman card. I love this set all around.
This is one of my favorite cards in my collection. Every time I pull it out I get to think about the fact that Jackie held the card too before he signed it for some lucky fan. The 1950 Bowman set is a great canvas for signatures. Love this card.
1950 Bowman #174, Hank Thompson. 1951 Bowman #198, Monte Irvin. On July 8, 1949, Hank Thompson & Monte Irvin broke the color barrier for the NY Giants. ⭐MLB Pioneers⭐ Have a great day! 👊
On his day, July 2, 1950, MLB Pioneer Jackie Robinson stole home vs the Phillies in a losing effort. It was his first steal of home in the 1950 season. 1950 Bowman #22, Jackie Robinson. Happy Wednesday!🌞 Have a great day!👊
