If you like Vintage & Minor League & Food Cards then this post should do it for you. ATTN: @CashLumber This visual is my 1950 Remar Bread Oakland Oaks collection including the Team card, which is scarce (I've only seen one other). Included are MLB Pioneers Artie Wilson (the last major leaguer to hit over .400 for a season) and Ray Noble (pronounced No-blay). In 1950 the Oakland Oaks were contenders for the Pacific Coast League (PCL) title. The PCL was "big time" back then and often referred to as the 3rd major league. Have a great day! 👊🌞
There are only about 100 baseball players (+/-) who can claim they played in the Negro Leagues and eventually made it to The Show -- I call them MLB Pioneers. This is my PC starting lineup of MLB Pioneers. The background for this visual is Rickwood Field, the oldest existing professional baseball park in the United States and home to the Negro League Birmingham Black Barons.
