The first World Series night game was Game 4 of the 1971 World Series, played on October 13, 1971, at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. By 1988, all World Series games were under the lights.
This is a card that I will always keep in my collection because Marlin’s legacy in football isn’t celebrated nearly enough. He was the 1st Black starting quarterback in the AFL, a Super Bowl winner on the undefeated Dolphins ‘72 team amongst other impressive accomplishments and for the last 18 years of his life he was a friend & mentor. Unfortunately, there aren’t many Marlin “The Magician” Briscoe football cards out there.
