1988 Fleer Scottie Pippen rookie.
Scottie Pippen’s career is one of those stories that doesn’t get enough respect unless you really understand basketball. He came into the league in 1987 as a raw, skinny kid from a tiny school, Central Arkansas, and within a few years he turned himself into the most complete all-around player on the planet. Pippen wasn’t just a sidekick to Michael Jordan, he was the engine that made the Bulls’ style of basketball possible. He defended every position on the floor, guarded the other team’s best player night after night, ran the offense as a point forward, rebounded, pushed the break, and still gave you 16 to 20 points without ever needing plays called for him.
