Got this in a pack at Legends of the Game in Toronto way back in the day. Had it graded a few years back and it’s still the highest grade for the card. Miss LotG!
Yao was amazing to watch. Very fluid for a 7’6” center with soft hands. A defensive presence in the middle with a great shot. In the HOF but his career was much shorter than I had hoped given his chronic foot injuries. Big men like that seldom have very long careers due to their size. Still, he was a dominant big man. I wonder if similar current players (like Zach Edey) would thrive in the NBA of the 1990-2000’s now that the game has evolved into more of a three-and-D style. Or would Yao be as dominant in today’s NBA?
Here’s a cool one that I recently scooped up. Yes, non-licensed off brand (President’s Choice). But with there super unique 1/1 stuff, I’m finding that I don’t really care too much. This is a full game-used jersey tag of one of the best players the league has ever seen. Moses Malone was an absolute unit on the court. Love rare, 1/1 tags, logos, team logos, etc. There just aren't very many items of this out there, regardless of brand.
