Trying to bring good juju for the Celtics game #2 Wednesday night. This card is in my top 50. Maybe my top 20. Three Celtics legends from three eras. I only wish it had room for one more autograph, and we could add Jayson Tatum (and if we are asking for wishes, I wish the autographs were on-card). But still, amazing PC card for a big Celtics fan!

See my previous post. Bird is a prolific signer, but still - the Scripted Swatches (this one is #/15) are some of the best cards ever made by Upper Deck as a Celtics collector, this will always be awesome.

My favorite player of my youth. How can you not be a Larry Bjrd fan? He could do it all - score, shoot, play defense, great passer, hard-nosed competitor. Great trash talking skills. He was the whole package. Ive always wondered how many 3’s he’d have in today’s NBA (he, Reggie Miller and Ray Allen). Love UD exquisite patch autos. Some of the best cards ever made.

The 5th anniversary of Hoops brought Bird & Magic dual autos. They will forever be linked, some say they saved the NBA - playing against each other in the NCAA championship and throughout the years on the highest level as rivals of the storied Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers. They hated each other but also had deep respect for each other. Their personality differences are dramatized well in the show “Winning Time”. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must-watch show for any fan of the NBA.
