1985 Topps Tiffany Mark McGwire USA Olympic rookie

Post image 1

Man, that 1984 Olympic baseball team was STACKED. That team also had Will Clark and Barry Larkin who, sadly, were not featured in the 1985 Topps set. Still, this is McGwire’s best rookie and the Tiffany version is tough to find in good condition. I want to upgrade to a signed version or at least a better centered version at some point. The centering on these can be brutal. This one will serve as a placeholder until I can upgrade. Ideally, to an autographed copy.

1985 Topps Tiffany Kirby Puckett rookie PSA 8

Post image 1

The Topps Tiffany sets were released in set form and limited to 5000. They have a super high gloss surface on slightly different stock. The high gloss, rough cut edges and centering makes them tough to find in gem condition. I’ve had a few from this set, and they are tough to get 9’s and 10’s on! Kirby was one of the best competitors in baseball from 1985-1995.

1985 Topps Tiffany Vince Coleman rookie auto PSA DNA

You might call the top Tiffany series one of the first parallels. Produced only in set form, 5000 of each set was produced individually numbered. You can differentiate these from the regular 85 Topps by the card stock, the color of the card on the back, and the high gloss coating seen on the Tiffany sets. Vince Coleman was an absolute monster. Lightning fast, his stolen bases rival those of Rickey Henderson. He was the 1985 rookie of the year for the National League who was lightning quick in center field. His career tailed off due to injuries, but in the late 80s he was so fun to watch. Love that this is autographed, inscribed, and certified by PSA DNA.
