Moses Yellowhorse is considered the first full-blooded Native American to play in Major League Baseball. He was a Pawnee pitcher who debuted with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1921. Other Native American players, such as Louis Sockalexis, played in the MLB before him, but Yellowhorse is specifically identified as being full-blooded. 

• Moses Yellowhorse: A member of the Pawnee tribe, Yellowhorse pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1921 and 1922.

• First full-blooded: He is specifically noted for being full-blooded, while previous Native American players had some degree of mixed ancestry.

• Significance: He played during a time when racial segregation was still a major factor in baseball, but he was allowed to play due to his appearance. 

1922 Exhibits Smoky Joe Wood ⭐
On October 8, 1912, Smoky Joe Wood pitched the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 victory over the NY Giants in Game 1 of the World Series.
Smoky Joe Wood had a dominant regular season with a W-L record of 34-5. He was a dominant pitcher of his era who has not yet been elected to the HOF.
Walter Johnson said about Smoky Joe Wood, "Listen mister, no man alive can throw harder than Smoky Joe Wood". This quote, often cited, speaks to the exceptional velocity of Wood's fastball, especially during Wood's peak season in 1912.

This is one of the most cherished cards in my PC.
I passed on one when I got back into the hobby and it took me nearly 7 years to get a shot at this one.🙏
Moses Yellowhorse is widely regarded as the first full-blooded Native American to play in Major League Baseball, joining the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1921. He displayed immense talent, particularly with a powerful fastball, in both minor and major leagues.
