Yes, the set is known for the Larry Bird Magic Johnson rookie card. But there are a ton of very cool, Great Hall of Famer‘s in the set as well. I was on the hunt for some high grade Moses Malone cards and was able to pick this one up in mint condition for about $100. It’s not the biggest card, I would much rather have this card already slabbed in a gem mint grade then by a box of crappy modern Donruss or Panini cards. Super cool, super nostalgic, and cool to have as part of my collection.

Like many kids did in 1980, I tore this Bird, Magic, Dr. J card apart into its individual panel. Of course, in hindsight, this is a very dumb thing to do. But at the time, I had stacks of these single-panel cards. The perforations and edges on this one still look pretty good. And I still might get it graded, as the individual rookie panels from both the Bird and Magic Johnson still are desired and hold decent collector value.
