These guys were complete stud pitchers. I still can not believe they only won 1 World Series with the Braves (1995). They made it to the World Series 5x together (‘91, ‘92, ‘95, ‘96, ‘99). They ran into team that were all seemingly destined to win from being long overdue (Twins, Bluejays, Yankees 2x)

In fact Stanton joined the Yankees to help beat the Braves in ‘99

Stanton’s (a hard throwing reliever) best stuff was a fastball and a slider

John Smoltz’s best pitches was his 99mph heater along with a slider and split finger fastball

I’m glad Topps made the switch from Topps Traded to Topps Update. The 1990 Update was also able to be purchased in packs, but most Traded series weren’t; I thought that was kinda lame. As a kid, the thrill of getting a PC card from a pack was what enthralled me about cards. Buying singles from a LCS was cool, but not nearly as fun.
