Gambling On PSA 10 Pokรฉmon Cards in a Las Vegas Casino! #pokemoncards #pokemon #gambling

PSA has created a vending machine in Vegas that spits out a mystery PSA 10 graded card for $50 (with a chance to get a high value card). You have a chance to get a mystery Sports or Pokemon Card. Pretty cool - check out the clip below!

Transparent PSA Updates

PSA President, Ryan Hoge, mentioned on The Geoff Wilson Show that PSA is implementing โ€graders notesโ€ on cards that come back in anything lower than a PSA 10. And they plan to provide photo matching services as part of their PSA/DNA authentication process.
More transparency from BigGrading is a win for Hobbyists!

SGC Turnaround Times?

Post image 1

Just a quick question for the hive - have a couple cards I'd possibly like to get sent off & returned quick for possible flip, but I'm also an impatient excitable sort with these things. Anyone have any recent experience on SGC turnaround? I know it slowed right down for a while there & I'm unsure if I've heard of any improvement.

-

If it hasn't improved, I also wonder how people will reevaluate their grading choices. While SGC price point (without membership requirement) is still pretty unbeatable in the majors, it does soften the enthusiasm & open up the mind to considering other options if the turnaround time isn't at all reliable. It was one of their key drivers, & I've had large submissions with them come back insanely quick in the past - but if it's going to be 4+ weeks then I may simply just sell raw on some of my flips, and just purely PC grade for awhile.

C.J. Stroud: The 2nd-Most PSA-Graded Athlete in March

Post image 1
Post image 2

I thought it was interesting that Stroud is second behind only Shohei Ohtani as far as athlete's cards getting graded by PSA in the month of March. I also thought it was interesting that there aren't any basketball players on here that weren't drafted after 2003. But you have three baseball players and three football players whose rookie cards came out in the past three years.

And I just pulled my first Prizm Stroud (Fireworks insert), so I'm happy about that.

In honor of the F1 season kicking off tomorrow..

Post image 1

Here's the oldest driver on the grid, Fernando Alonso, who is 42 years old. He gives us old guys hope, so that when we drain that 18-foot jumper, or bench press two plates (on each side), or throw an 85MPH fastball, or satisfy the old lady in the sack, that we can can say (or at least think quietly in our head), "yep, I still got it."
