NBA ELITE 11 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 is the rarest sports game out there. Typically sports games don’t get the love from collectors because they come out every year with minor changes. But NBA Elite 11 is different. Just a few days before release, the game was given as a demo to reviewers and was widely blasted for buggy and poor gameplay.
While the game was shipped out to retailers already, the publisher decided to cancel and recall the game before release date. Anyone who had a copy is generally supposed to send it back to EA so it can be destroyed on Mar 17, 2011.
Obviously some were not returned and there was even a rumor of a box taken from a train somewhere. Either way, for a PS3 game in 9.6 B+ to sell for $10,200, confirmed by Terapeak, it certainly is coveted by collectors and investors alike.
Only 5 on the WATA pop report sealed for PS3 and none for the Xbox 360 (don’t think any are sealed)
