Here is a card I picked up with 'The Incredibles' card. Dug out from a small box in a charity shop over here in the UK. Again just having fun with the photo to show you it. Sided by Ashoka, Princess Leia & R2D2 doing his loyal duties. The backdrop is open pages from the Book - The Art of Star Wars - The Force Awakens (Phil Szostak). 

So much wonderful art and concept design in it. I guess prompted the title. I personally love Star Wars since a kid and would love to hunt down more cards from the franchise. I watched 'Return of the Jedi' just yesterday. Not the Christmas Special!

So amongst some Dark times. Remember there is your creativity to pull you out and shed a bit of light on things. Also to share what you want to say.

I think the hobby has a lot to offer in terms of contribution community wise, not just locally but globally.

Has Mantel got any initiatives on community based projects? Mantel Makers, Mantel Movers?

Anyway just a little universal positivity from me. Let me know your favourite Star Wars card? Owned or not owned yet.

Hello All

We have some comics, figures and my pencil holder in this card photo. I've mentioned before I used to collect comics when I was younger. Not so much these days. The odd variant covers here and there. You can see the Art Adams and Scottie Young examples here. I still have quite a few boxed up.

We know for sure Spidey is a Mets fan, but is he a Knicks fan? Thought it would be fun to put this Jalen Brunson 'Marvels' in amongst these things. There are lots of references of NYC in comics. Obviously Stan Lee & Jack Kirby were both New Yorkers.

Did you know Charles Barkley fought Godzilla once?

The little Spidey was from a 'Kinder Egg' series. I just hang it on the Christmas Tree with the others I have. The bigger one is a metal figure from 2005. I have a bunch of these.

Any of you like these 'Marvels' designs? Which one would you like to pick up? Also, any favourite comic characters?

Hello All

Here's a Disney/Pixar animation post for you. So many great films and characters over the years. One of my "classic" personal favourites has always been Robin Hood. A modern favourite is The Incredibles. I say modern. Released in 2004. Still 24 years old. I mean Toy Story is 30 years old and Robin Hood is 52. Which brings in the nostalgia element. There are so many individual, personald elements when it comes to collecting. Reminders of certain times, events, people, places. 

Am not saying that is getting lost in the noise. It will always be there. I guess the memories make themselves and get stronger as you go.

Just remember to buy what you love too, collect what you love and enjoy too. Be in the moment. Whether that sharing time in a shop, show or wherever it is.

Be yourself.
