I really don’t collect a lot of ultra modern cards. I like some of the ingenuity, but they are just shiny at this point. I don’t love the artificial scarcity of some of them. I find myself trending towards more vintage cards. However, I was out at a show and the nostalgia of 1984 Topps that came back to me. This was just a cheap pick up of a shiny card so I was happy to buy it. I will likely give it to my son for his little starting collection.

The Olympic Games were held in Los Angeles in 1984. This ticket represents admission to the opening ceremony is that year. The Olympics were held in Atlanta in 1996 and then Los Angeles will host the next summer games as well. If you’ve never been, going to the Olympics is really awesome. People are in a good mood, the game is entertaining, and the atmosphere is electric. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to go… But I’m sure as heck gonna try. Traffic is gonna be brutal!
