We went to war in 1991, when I was a junior in high school. Outside of the Cold War, I never knew anything else. I was actually scared that they would reinstitute the draft right as I was leaving high school. Thankfully, that didn’t happen… But what did happen was Topps sent Some 1991 baseball cards to our men and women fighting in the Middle East that had a special gold desert shield stamp in the corner. As you can imagine, not a ton of them made it out, and those that did were in pretty rough shape. Clearly, the Chipper Jones rookie and the Ken Griffey, Jr card are probably the two best however, I’m super happy to have this one in my collection.
