Everyone that knows me knows that Counting Crows are my favorite all-time musical group. Even many Crows fans don’t realize that before they were Counting Crows, we are talking mid to late 1980s, Adam Duretz and some of the members of the current band had a band called the Himalayas. A couple of their songs made it into Crows albums over the years some, did not. Adam‘s voice is young and raw on these tracks, but it’s still worth a listen!

Adding to my litany of Counting Crows autographed items, here is one of their concert posters, signed by Adam Duritz and the rest of the band. In the past, VIP tickets have come with autographed concert, posters, CD, albums, or sheet music. Such a cool way to engage with their fans!

This upcoming July 20, I’ll be seeing Counting Crows play for maybe the 30th time in concert. I’m very fortunate that my favorite band from college still tours almost every year. They continue to put out great new music as well. Yes, going to concerts and seeing people in their 50s and 60s makes me feel a little old. They broke into the genre as an alt rock band. That’s now more often seen as light rock and pop. I have all their albums, except the current one, autographed in some way shape or form. Clearly, everyone knows their lead singer Adam Duritz the most. He has a very unique, recognizable voice, and, unlike some other singers or groups, he writes all his own lyrics to music, which makes it unique and more meaningful.

Most of the autographs I’ve posted, and most of my autographs in general, are all from sports figures and some historical figures. But does anyone on here collect musician autographs? Counting Crows have been my favorite band since college in 1993 and I’ve had a good fortune that they tour every summer. I have multiple autograph CDs, concert posters, sheet music and I’ve seen them over 30 times in concert. I’ll be seeing them again this July 20 in Clearwater, Florida, and looking forward to it every time!
