Carl Lewis is a former American track and field athlete, widely regarded as one of the greatest Olympians of all time. Born on July 1, 1961, he dominated sprinting and long jump events throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. Over his career, he won nine Olympic gold medals and one silver across four Olympic Games (1980–1996), as well as 10 World Championship medals.
Lewis excelled in the 100m, 200m, and long jump, often drawing comparisons to legends like Jesse Owens. His most famous performance came at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, where he won four gold medals in the 100m, 200m, long jump, and 4x100m relay, replicating Owens’ 1936 feat.
I love historical USA Olympic autographs. And Carl Lewis is one of the best all-time.
