1971 Goldflake Muhammad Ali “rookie” card BGS 7.5

Post image 1

The 1971 Barratt & Co. Goldflake Famous Sportsmen card #24 features boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who was also known as Cassius Clay. Produced by the London-based company Barratt & Co. Ltd., this card is part of a 50-card set highlighting notable sports figures of that era.
The card showcases Ali in a boxing pose, with the back of the card referring to him as “Cassius Clay or Muhamed Ali,” acknowledging his name change, albeit with a misspelling.
These aren’t crazy expansive but they are hard to find gem mint/centered. Outside of the centering issue on this one, the corners, edges and color are really nice.

Muhammad Ali AKA Cassius Clay auto signed Everlast Boxing Glove

Post image 1

Ali rarely signed AKA Cassius Clay, especially in the last 20 years of his life. But I got this signed, in person, at the National Convention in person in the mid 1990’s (I think 1996 or whatever it was in Atlanta). It’s a cool piece and I wish I would have gotten another one, but super happy to have this as part of my permanent sports memorabilia collection of the best boxer of all time.
