I’ve never had any Optic in my collection because it was either too hard for me to find without paying way above MSRP or because I simply couldn’t find it. Buddy who owns a local card store happened to have a case so I rolled the dice, and well.. here we are.

I thought he scammed me at first.

Took my PayPal payment and I didn’t get my package.

But he just took a break from the hobby.

Custom card artist @dripsycards made things right by reaching out to me out of the blue and telling me he would be sending custom downtowns I bought and adding some more for the inconvenience and delay.

Much as I am impressed by the artwork on the front, I similarly enjoy the writing on the back of the card. These came out so well and this serves as a reminder that it’s not always about the money, this hobby is supposed to be more for fun than anything else.

Coming from someone who took a long break last year without any notice, we all need breaks from this hobby now and then 🙏
