Romeo was a talented offensive player who never fully materialized in the pros. He is still an amazing defender but has had a tough time staying on the court due to injury. He didn’t fully work out on the Celtics roster and then was with the spurs for a hot second. As an IU fan, I’ll still love things like this gold prizm auto

Many might remember Keith Smart as the guy who hit the game-winning national Championship shot in 1987. He is forever loved and remember in Hoosier lore for this shot. He was a charismatic floor leader with a smooth jumper. This Upper Deck “By The Letter” card has an autographed manufactured patch. Only would be better if it was game-used! Not expensive, but a must-have for any true IU fan!

My next Cheaney appreciation post. Since he didn’t have a lot of high end stuff made, I picked up this Skybox Rubies (retro from 2012-2013). It’s a super cool card and #/150. Not expensive. Maybe $20? But still cool to me. Again, cards don’t have to be expensive to be cool/desirable/collectable. Go Hoosiers!

This one won’t get a lot of love, but as an IU grad, we haven’t had many amazing football players to cheer for. (Until this year!). Randel-El was a dynamic QB who found a little success at the NFL level as a WR. People forget he also played on the IU basketball team for Coach Bob Knight. I don’t love what they did to the helmets and branding that year, but this was an inexpensive item that I think it still cool, given my love for the Hoosiers! If anyone has any rare, 1/1, superfractors, etc of Randle-El, let me know, I’ve been on the hunt for one for some time!

If you’ve seen my other posts, Calbert Cheaney was one of my favorite college stars at Indiana University. He doesn’t have a lot of high-end cards but he does leave this one from a very highly desirable late 90’s set, the Classic ‘61 parallel. I had to overpay to get this, but happy to have it in my Calbert Cheaney collection!
