Haven't been collecting soccer for long, but over the last few seasons I've picked up a bunch of RCs of my club's (then) best player, Michael Olise. He left Crystal Palace over the summer to play for Bayern Munich, and today he scored two goals in a CL match.
With NBA, MLB, NFL, there are so many people who are fans of the player more than the team (e.g. LeBron collectors who don't care if he's in Cavs, Heat or Lakers gear on the card).
But soccer is so tribal. Your allegiance generally aligns with your club more than any player.
So with that in mind, do you see interest in cards of soccer players wearing jerseys from their old club, or do you just wait and buy cards of him once he's in the right kit?
Debating liquidating my Olise collection, but I'm not sure how much Bayern Munich (or French national team) collectors want him in Palace gear...
