These are two great reads by the legend Harper Lee! I got “To Kill a Mockingbird” from my local library. I bought “Go Set a Watchman” at a local antique store for only 2 bucks. Love reading boxes by folks from Alabama! Here’s the cool story being these books.
Lee originally wrote “Watchman” before she wrote “Mockingbird.” The publishers said that she should write the book from Scout’s perspective as a child. That’s how we got “Mockingbird.” Then, in her old age, they found the manuscript for “Watchman” in a bank safe in her home town of Monroeville, Alabama. The book was published in 2015, the year after her death. “Watchman” is better than “Mockingbird” in my humble opinion. If you haven’t read these books, you definitely should! Everyone should read them each once in their lifetime!
