Happy Ash Wednesday! Here is my Evil Dead 2 still of Ash Williams signed by Bruce Campbell. I got this back in 2001 when autographs were free. I framed it up with pieces of the Tree Monster found at the shooting location in North Carolina by Fangoria writer Michael Gingold.

Since Daredevil Born Again premieres tonight, I’m sharing this art page featuring Daredevil, The Punisher, and Jigsaw. This from a short lived 90s series where The Punisher becomes the head of a crime family. While the stories left much to be desired, this run had beautiful artwork by the late Tom Lyle.

Since today is Tony Iommi’s 77th Birthday, I’m
sharing my signed 1998 reunion poster. I got this poster at the Virgin Megastore Times Square during a midnight signing of Black Sabbath’s Reunion album. I was lucky enough to catch them twice on their Reunion tour in 1999. I just got tickets to see their final show in Birmingham England this July!

Here is another one of my 2024 pick ups, the cover painting for Tomb of Dracula: Day of Blood #4 by Gene Colan. Gene Colan is best known for co-creating Howard the Duck and drawing most of the original Tomb of Dracula series for Marvel. Day of Blood was a mini series published by Marvel in the 90s where we find out what’s been going on with the Tomb Dracula characters since their series ended in the early 80s. If you look closely at my profile picture, you can see the cover art for Day of Blood #1.

Here is one of my best pick ups of last year, Lonston Wallace‘s cover at for Mars Attacks First Born #3. First Born was probably the best story from IDW Mars Attacks comics. It’s about a little girl taking care of a baby Martian left behind during the invasion. Interior art by master Sam Kieth. If anyone is holding an interior page I’d love to see it.
