Some absolute madlad on AliExpress decided that if LEGO and Tatsunoko won’t collaborate to make official Kyattou Ninden Teyandee sets, then by God, THEY WILL.

And the result? Pretty decent, actually.

Each set recreates the full trio—Yattaro, Pururun, and Sukashii—in chunky, poseable, brick-built glory.

Are they bootlegs?

Absolutely.

Should LEGO lawyers look away?

Probably.

But are they insanely charming and surprisingly well-engineered?

100%.

My client asked me to create a variant of Mr. Gold. I designed the mini fig in CAD and divided the custom into 6 components: pelvis and legs, torso and neck, arms and hands, head, hat, and scepter.

I used Silk Gold filament (satin sheen) as the base for all 6 components. The base is enhanced with black and gold-sparkling jewels. The hands are fabricated from PLA Matte White.

The right eye has a jewel to represent an eye piece. The torso is circumscribed with black jewels, representing a belt. The base is a 1x6 brick.

Both the base and the mini fig are compatible with traditional plastic Lego bricks.

New from my workshop: Mini Figs

Introducing a custom-designed mini fig of Cristiano Ronaldo in his Team Portugal kit!

This mini fig is created entirely in CAD and fully compatible with standard Lego bricks and base plates. Each figure is pigmented during fabrication in authentic team colors for a premium finish. Every part is articulated — the head turns, arms and legs move, and the pelvis is fully poseable. The legs include connection points so the figure can snap securely onto Lego bricks of various sizes.

The display base is a one-of-a-kind, 3D-printed brick that integrates seamlessly with existing Lego pieces. The accompanying tile features an embossed portrait of a young Ronaldo, surrounded by red gemstones to celebrate Portugal’s iconic color and Ronaldo’s legendary career.

Recently listed these after getting them back from CGA and pretty shocked by the interest… don’t think either will be in my possession much longer so just sharing while they are!

If you don’t know the story on Inside Tours, they happen annually in Billund, Denmark at LEGO HQ. It’s a whole thing to apply but they select very few people. Nowadays there are several tours per year (like 4-6 I believe). Back in 2012 there was only one; two tours in 2014. Attendees receive custom sets, sealed, serialized, signed by the set designer, with a picture of the group on the back. Obviously most sets are opened / built by the attendees but I managed to grab these a couple years ago (in both cases it was a couple that attended, so they had an “extra” one they were willing to sell) and just had them graded to pass to the next person… doesn’t get much rarer than this for modern age LEGO!
