Flair Legacy parallels are one of the best 90’s inserts/parallels. Along with PMG, Rubies, and Credentials, they are from a high-end product and are super clean in their design and look and are all numbered. There were usually three of each (row 0, row 1, and row 2, each with slightly different pictures and design elements. But they all look clean and feel like a premium product.
Flair cards were super premium and expensive when I was a kid. They didn’t even come in “packs”. They came in little individual boxes with cello wrapping. I never pulled a legacy personally, but did pull some good inserts. Happy to have this legacy parallel of one of my favorite players of that era.
The young whipper snappers of the hobby would probably scoff at lenticular action what with all their Oculus 3D headsets and whatnot, but when I tell you that you would be mesmerized if you saw this card in person….
It’s beautiful. Part of me would like to go for the set, but I’ve never been a set collector and I only have two of these cards. They are wonderful though and I would love it if Topps brought this back! 😍
This is the single E-X card I got in my skybox Metal Universe Box. Man. They are still cool. I don’t know much about Evan Stewart, but it make me really want to find a vintage E-X box to buy. I can’t afford the 1997-98. But maybe a year or two after that. How much do those vintage boxes run? Where can I get one? I’d love to rip a box, just for fun, or an 96-2000 era box of Flair Showcase. Anyone have any leads on good deals? I’d love to go Jamabalaya, or Legacy hunting. As long as it doesn’t break the bank! Let me know if you have any leads!
Researched the Flair Showcase series this weekend and happened to come across these two cards on my LCS visits this week. I guess I have to finish the set now.
